Ana Barrado is a New York-based photographer whose work has been published worldwide, including: Zone-6: Incorporations (New York); Inter-Communication (Tokyo); and The New Yorker Magazine (New York). A monograph of her work was published by Atelier Peyotl (Tokyo) in 1989.
Barrado’s stark, futuristic photos have appeared in RE/Search #8/9: J.G. Ballard and J.G. Ballard’s The Atrocity Exhibition. Her visions of high rises, airport lounges, and skyward-pointing missiles perfectly complement Ballard’s apocalyptic landscape. |
Currently Barrado is working on the Imaging Florida project, which focuses on Florida’s leisure landscapes, and the Las Vegas Series, shown at right. |
