Jack Hirschman
(b. December 13, 1933, in New York, NY) is a poet and social activist who has written more than 50 volumes of poetry and essays. He knows at least a half dozen languages and is also a translator of poetry. He is a moving force in the San Francisco poetry scene, also having been a recent Poet Laureate.
